About Liberty House Coffee and Café
Specialty Coffee - Breakfast - Lunch - Wine and Beer - Dinner - Garden to Table
Liberty House Coffee and Café is a cafe in Asheville, North Carolina. It is listed at 221 S Liberty St, Asheville, NC 28801, which places it among the local businesses of Asheville that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 am–3 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Liberty House Coffee and Café at (828) 505-2236; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, libertyhousecafe.com.
Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 969 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded cafes in Asheville.
Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Asheville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

AMAZING PANCAKE AND COFEE- BEST IN AVL!! Extremely quick and friendly service. Love the outdoor seating area too! Very pet-friendly. Do not be intimidated by long line! It moves very fast and is well worth the wait!

On this lovely Sunday morning I had a craving for Pancakes so I decided to go to Liberty House Coffee and cafe located at 221 S Liberty St Asheville, NC. When I arrived there was a line and about a 30 min wait. Normally I’m too impatient for that and usually leave…I’m so glad I did not! The lady at the counter was very sweet and informative about the menu. I placed my order, got a number, and found a place to sit. They have outdoor and indoor seating that had a cute farmhouse ambiance but what immediately stole my gaze was the large blueberry pancake and bacon I ordered that was making its way to me. The outer crisp surrounded the whole pancake, not just the edges but every mouth watering bite with its moist center and delightful blueberries and audible crunch! The bacon was thick, juicy and tender! I would say this made it into the top five pancakes of all time for me with Golden Diner in NYC being my number 1. So far these restaurants in Asheville have not missed! If you ever make it to this area check these guys out!

Carole Vandenberg and I along with our Athens, GA friend had breakfast today, Sunday, July 12, at Liberty. I failed to take a picture of it before we ate it. However, we had one of their cinnamon rolls to whet our appetites before our main dishes arrived. What a sweet delight. Our Athens friend ordered the Avo Toast which consists of smashed avocado on toasted sourdough with scrambled farm eggs. It is also served with a side salad. She said that the toast, avocado, and egg were quite tasty particularly with the light dusting of chili flakes. She really liked the freshness of the salad and how it was lightly tossed in the dressing instead of smothered in the dressing. Carole had today’s special off of the white board, the Smoked Salmon Tartine. It was rye bread with egg salad and thinly sliced smoked salmon and capers. She said that she absolutely loved it, and as such, is going to make this dish at home. When Carole says that, it means she really, a million times really, liked it. In fact, while we were at the grocers today, she got the ingredients to do so. I ordered the Liberty Quiche. It consists of roasted local zuccini, shallots, tomato, peppers, spinach and smok

Bacon, Sourdough toast and strawberry jam was good. The “famous” blueberry pancake was not good. It was under cooked and raw on the inside. I don’t know if all of them are made this way. But this is why the review is not 5 stars!

They changed their pancake recipe.. they are almost deep fried now. So much oil on it and in it. Also the middle is not completely cooked because of the extra moisture of the blueberries. Latte was good as well as eggs and bacon. New Island matcha drink was not good, unpleasant artificial aftertaste of banana flavor.
